Restaurant week!

Had the deal at Fullerton Boathouse! Basically they had it once a year according to my cousin, and we talked about it only on Saturday and Sunday was the last day and we decided to had it for a try! cousin bonding session yea? haha, so restaurant week was basically having dinner or lunch at a cheaper price at their featured restaurants, bar, cafe, bistros etc... They even had Forlino! ok so anyway this year one was done, AND AND AND, next year will be held in March 2013!! how great could that be? regarding the price, lunch was like S$25++ and dinner S$35++ hee... and it was worth it!! so I had already sign up for their news letter for next year and I don't wanna miss it!! :) But, I personally think that the boathouse wasn't that great, I only love their lamb shank! it was so so so GOOD!

CHOU FLEUR  

Soup of cauliflower, forest mushroom, leek fricassée & truffle essence  

My views for this... The mushroom have to be mixed around otherwise, you can't taste how good the soup taste... so yea.. but i love truffle oil/ essence so I love this after the mushroom was mix around.. 

Salmon salad

This was really refreshing... But it wasn't what I like to eat thou..

THIS WAS THE BOMB! I love and enjoy every succulent meat of this! YUMS. I love the gravy too!

We headed to town for shopping aftermath and was so drained out... maybe the age is catching up! haha.. and h&m was having kick ass sales! so sales must buy! haha.. oh ya the meal was around 100 bucks for both, so it was ok? i don't know, to me i think even thou without the promo, i think that we will still spend 100 bucks? imo, i think maybe it was too commercialize.. but I don't mind giving it a try! :D and....... you pay for what you get... this is the fact.. :) #truefacts and not to mention, the service at boathouse was very good! their crews were all so attentive.. :) somehow I feel that I am at english countries because that is the only place they will ask you, how's your day, how's the food.. etc... maybe in Singapore, high-end restaurants does that, but for normal one, they don't.. and that kind of service, is what we really look out for.. :) not even in restaurants, but in retails shop etc... so I guess the culture here is different..

Malaysia Boleh!

At first I thought it was a restaurant until I went in, then I know it's a hawker center that sells Malaysian food... all the people that loves Malaysian food do not need to travel so far anymore! you can drop by at Jurong point (west side of Singapore) and get your tummy filled with food! It is not expensive, the price range are rather reasonable but it is very troublesome to find a seat and the stalls are filled with queues... zzz... and some even have to pay first to queue for your food, and if you visit there the first time, you better play smart and ask people how to order, otherwise if you queue and when it comes to your turn, they asked you for your receipt and count yourself lucky to go and pay up and queue again!! lol, that's what i did... -.-

Asam Laksa! Ordered the big bowl, $5. I still prefer city plaza Asam Laksa..

Orh Lua Qian - $4 (i think) not worth cus' small portion and so so only..

Black soya sauce bee tai mak - $6 

It was good! love it... it may look dry but when you stuff in it to your mouth, somehow the sensation is just right... lol

Wanton mee 

This was lovely! Better than pontian! one word, BEST.

not to mention, they add black soya sauce in it too... Jeanette told me their black soya sauce was from Penang or Ipoh... I think... can't remember..

not to mention, I ordered this durian fritter at Malaysia Boleh, near to the entrance, it was so GOOD! I swear if you do not like to eat durian, you will like to eat this durian fritter.. it does not makes your mouth stink or neither it stinks... just melt in your mouth when it enters... i'm gonna bring my bf to come here and join the battle of queuing and chopping seats! r

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

so anyway, we celebrated 1 day earlier because he had to went for an biz trip... :( for some reason, having dinner on that special date and any other date is really different, I prefer to have the special dinner at any place with you, be it expensive or cheap, as long as you are there on the special date... so never mind, I still get to spend with you... tbh, we had many nice dinner before, so i think that special date really matters to me somehow...

anyway, i didn't tell him where we are heading to, i brought him to this hill top at jurong, we had teppanyaki, for the very first time, together... after 3 years... lol... before that, he waited for me because I asked him to, due to many work to do at work that day... so he waited and he send me this picture to remind me his face expression is like that right now... LOL...

 EPIC... i burst into tears and laughter for 5 mins when i saw....























This expression of mine came out because I asked him to take a photo of me and he didn't want to and I am pissed off and then he say 'ok' and by then, I do not have the mood to take photo anymore and he asked me to look up and I show this..... LOL..... hahah anyway ya...

back to jurong hill top japanese restaurant, we ordered FOOD.. one of our favourite things to do is to EAT... :p ordered quite a lot and had our tummy filled with FOOD... and i am really happy that night even thou it is not the actual day... love you hun... :)

i love this garlic fried rice, it has salmon bits in it... very nice!

really appreciate you being by my side all these while and being the most patience guy in the universe, even thou i always complain about you being sucky... but i still love you like always and it will grow stronger... yea i know i am mushy if you are reading this... thank you for being so understanding... enlighten me at all times, taught me many things i don't know in life... my walking dictionary... and say yes/ ok to everything.. haha.. xoxo

Pizza Hut & CI GUSTA @ Lot one

Met mom after work today and had our din din at pizzahut because she's craving for western/ italian, follow by our dessert at Ci Gusta... tried the gelato there the first time, it was not bad.. had it with waffles... the one thing about that gelato cafe is that the place is too small!! :/ got too full after that.. haha, so anyway, I bought a new camera and took some pictures of the food we had tonight... new camera must take photos!! :p so anyway pizzahut had this promo now, 1 for 1!! but then didn't see what we are craving for, so we didn't go for the 1for1 meal.. haha.. yea..

The base of this sauce is like chilli crab sauce.. just that i think they should make the plate clean before serving... because the sauce is still there... :/ but never mind... anyway their sauce is creamy and thick.. somehow the texture of the pasta was too sticky... was it because of the sauce?? idk....

Did I mention my mom is working? oh yea, I am the one who send the resume for her! I am so proud of myself and my mom, and even thou she is a tea lady at the company, she has a desktop and email of her own! hee... and i feel happy because she is happier now! she see more outside rather than playing mahjong everyday or go high tea with her friends... haaa.......... ok, gonna hit the sacks for tomorrow morning yoga! :)

wine connection, lenas, dessert cafe at katong 112

Cousin and I was talking about wine and then we both came up the idea of drinking wine after our run... lol, went to the nearby wine connection at railway mall... and had Moscato... Fell in love with this wine after I had it at Shin's aussie kind of party gathering at his house together with John.. so Ceci intro me this Villa M, it was so smooth and sweet and a bit of vanilla taste... I LIKE!! My fav white wine now is Mocasto (Villa M & Brown Brother)! I am so interested to try Sauvingon Blanc by Cloudy bay and Riesling...

then the other day, honey and i went dinner date at 112 katong mall.. the moment i step into the mall, i feel so comfortable because of the nice smell aroma, i guess this was one of those marketing skills to lift up consumer spirits by scent.. the happier a consumer is, the more they will spend.. :) had cakes at Da Paolo Gastronomia..

then mom, hun and i decided to try the newly open cafe at Jurong Point, Lena's... wide range of food selection, best part is I am a member of MOF, so I am entitled to 10% discount! NICE~~~ :D

Seafood dinner @ The Forum

The young Worralls and their gfs (me and dezzy) had seafood dinner by the river @ The Forum located at Boat Quay... because Jumbo had full house seating and reservations need to be made upon dining there.. so anyway the dinner was exorbitant.. growing up in Singapore, having seafood, i do not need to pay so much for it.. i guess that place is to carrot the expats even thou for their good service and endless repeats of saying "don't worry, i will give you discount..." lol......... enjoy my dinner there, the crab was BIG. Let the peeks do the talking.. :D

Ma Maison @ The Central

Well, after hearing so many good reviews on ma maison for donkey years, I finally get my ass down there to enjoy the food and oh boy, it was very good! service to atmosphere to food to value or not. yes. a 100% must go and try one time kinda of thing!

Definitely will patronize them again! :) love the tarts, omu rice, and hamburger steak! everything was so lovely... :) Thanks hun for bringing me out for a date after sooooo long because we started our diet... :p also because yesterday suppose to meet Leo for jumbo seafood but last min he had something on, so yea, we settle for something for a 2 people session.

I love yesterday man... ^.^

My 24th Birthday!
